Information for submitting photos:
  • You will be asked to upload the original and edited photo (if you have) and include the specific contest category the photo will be entered in, a title for the photo and a one sentence description (that will be posted along with the photo).
  • Voting: Votes can be submitted in multiple ways, Instagram, through email, and in person:
    • 1) Instagram.  Anyone in the Grauer family is allowed to follow Grauer Art’s Instagram account and will be able to vote on photos.  @GrauerArt is a private account and will only accept followers if they are Grauer students, parents, alumni, and faculty.
    • 2) E-mail.  All the photos will be posted to the Grauer Art Blog, www.graurerart.blogspot.com.  They will be uploaded in categories, and in sequence.  Once you know which photo you like best, per category, you can email photo@grauerschool.com with your votes
    • 3) Stop by my room, and vote in person, I will have the photos to view.
  • During Voting Week (a Monday through Friday), all photos will be uploaded anonymously to Instagram (@GrauerArt) and www.grauerart.blogspot.com on that Monday. At the end of the week, Instagram votes (“Likes”) and e-mailed votes will be counted, and the top 3 most-voted photos will be recognized per category.
  • Tiebreakers will be decided by Grauer Art Department.

Rules:
  1. Photos must be current, and have been taken after contest has started.
  2. Photos must be in good taste, and will be accepted at the sole discretion of the art department.
  3. No preset photo filters can be used (example, no Instagram-like filters).  Black and white is okay.
  4. Submit original photo as well as edited photo, with camera type, and any other camera info that you can provide.  Photos don’t need to be edited to be submitted into contest.
  5. Photos must be submitted in the highest resolution possible (for printing purposes).  Since most photos will not be in square format originally, you are allowed to edit the photo by adding white borders to preserve the rectangular aspect ratio, if not we will crop the photo however we think works best.
  6. You can submit one photo per category (there are three categories per contest).
  7. Photos must be submitted by date given; no late photos will be accepted.

Extras:

  1. Photos may be used at the end of the year in a photobook, available to anyone who may want one.  With contest winning photos, and photographers highlighted with full page layouts.
